To quote Mr. McCain, "my friends..." (quoting of JMcC stops there), it's been awhile since an update- it's been awhile since I knew exactly what it is that I'm doing- what part I play in this Speed Legacy. I went to Lime Rock, to Mid-Ohio. I filmed the 54 Falken/Black Swan car, I filmed the 40 Robertson Racing car. I put together a very involved video at Falken Tire Corporation's request, but then I was out of the self webcasting, giving them option to se the video. I wish I knew where they are in that process, 'cause I put a lot into that clip and I'd love to share- maybe someday, but not likely soon- we ended up entering a deal for strictly the raw footage, so the edited piece sits on my computer only. See me at a track sometime and ask to see it.
Distracted from by this mission, I missed the races of Mosport, Detroit and Road America, but I went to Road Atlanta for Petit, and began a new working arrangement with Robertson Racing which brought me here, to Monterey, CA, to film Laguna Seca.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be editing a summary of all the film work I've done for the Robertson Racing team and posting it here, as well as their website for public view.
The last 2 races, I filmed with my new camera, the RED, a 4k Digital Cinema camera built by the man who brought Oakley Sunglasses to the world. This camera is quite blast to use, although the entire rig is at least 20 lbs heavier than my JVC I'd been using. I hope that the next episodes I create will someday be available on Blu-Ray- which is about 1/2 the native resolution of my new machine.
Oh, and as far as John McCain goes, since I did bring up his name earlier in this post, I must proclaim: don't vote for that fool, please. I love this country too much to want him to take it over- way too much. Thanks,
-johnny
